Saturn Ring Blues
Asimov's has posted its preliminary Nebula ballot stories online.  You can read my "How Music Begins" there for free, along with six other Nebula-nodded stories.

Or you can wait until my new collection, The Radio Magician and Other Stories, comes out later this year.  Or, better yet, you can read it now for free and then buy the book later. *g*

In case you missed it, [info]dzumsteg has a fun story called "Slotting," that riffs off "How Music Begins."  If you've ever been to (or thought about going to) Clarion or any writing workshop, you'll find the story interesting.

As I've said before, that was my favorite story from Hartwell's Year's Best, so I'll be rooting for it all the way. Good luck!

This is a question for you and everyone reading this. I'll understand if you don't want to answer...

Big question: Nebula or Hugo, which would you rather win and why?

Wait that was unreasonable of me...Jim, you are exempt from answering the question (jinx-worthy endeavour)...

But the rest of the unnominated, have at it!
