Summer Fires

Saturn Ring Blues
As most of you know, Colorado has already had a horrifying fire season, and there doesn't seem to be any relief on the horizon.  More 100 degree days, no humidity, and we're moving into the "monsoon" season, which in Colorado terms means afternoon thunderstorms.

We get spectacular sunsets as the only silver lining.  Not too far from Grand Junction, the Pine Ridge fire is burning.  Almost fourteen-thousand acres have been consumed.  Most of our smoke comes from that blaze.  Sometimes you can smell it.
