Heh. It is a truth universally acknowledged that any printed list of spellings will contain at least one misprint ("eneeavor")...

If someone would translate some of the archaic notation (also, measurements such as cordwood, which aren't common to modern city dwellers), I would ace the math and spelling sections. I would do surprisingly well on the geography section, though I was totally guessing for Montana as the 3rd largest state in 1912.

The history section would smack me around, but OTOH, it was much more recent history for the students in 1912. That said, I don't think I'd fare much better with similar questions related to WWI and WWII.

Could you post a current eighth grade set of questions, for comparison?
