A few, IMO, are classics of film-making. My favorite of all time is "The Haunting" - or maybe "The Shining" but the former had no gore, just stark terror, and the latter - well, egads. I consider it a fine movie of its own (as the book was a fine book of its own). The blood and guts and torture porn, no thanks. This one, "Mama," could go either way. I'm waiting to read some reviews before I decide - if I do ever see it, it'll be on a DVD in the safety and comfort of my own house, with The Protective Blanket up around my face and The Protective Popcorn close at hand. And, of course, all the windows shuttered, the doors locked, and the security system turned on. LOL
